Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat
I started getting a sore throat about 3 weeks ago, tried everything to get rid of it, this morning I noticed that I've got yellow-ish lines/spots at the back of my throat, mainly on my tonsils. Not sure if its tonsilitus or not. Its painful to swallow, do you have any ideas on how I could get rid of it?

Your clinical history is suggestive of a chronic infection of the tonsils. White patches on the back of the throat and tonsils suggest the presence of some pus due to bacterial infection. You may need a course of an antibiotic. It is advisable to get a culture and sensitivity test of the throat swab to identify the causative agent and determine the right antibiotic that could provide you long term relief. Please consult your doctor to get this test done and follow his/her advice.
In the meantime anti-inflammatory medications and warm salt water gargles could be helpful.
