I ve had a sore throat for a week and a half for the first couple of days the pain was on the right side of my throat and advil helped with the pain and there wasn t much swelling. Then the sore throat went away for a day or 2 and then reoccurred in the left side of my throat. The pain is very bad and goes from the bottom of my throat up to my ear. I have been given and antibiotic and have been advised to take advil but that doesn t temporarily remove the pain anymore. My tonsils have swollen up to the point that it is hard to talk and extremely painful to swallow. What can i do to keep the pain away and bring down the swelling so i can get some rest finally?
