Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat

I m male, 45, don t smoke.... I ve had a sore throat for a week.... no fever, no chills, no runny nose...last two days I ve started to cough when I wake up in the morning, with sputum involved.... then I feel better the rest of the day.... Had pneumonia 6 months ago; turned out it was bacterial.... Antibiotics worked ..../ that was the first time I ve had pneumonia....this feels like a much milder version.... but six days of bed rest and very little improvement....

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to a respiratory tract infection.
I suggest using a thorat spray fo local application.
I also suggest using anti inflammatory medication such as Acetominophen to relieve the symptoms.
I recommend to drink liquids and rest.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
