Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat

I have a hoarse throat and feel a lump in throat for a week now and neither of the symptoms seem to be improving. You can t see or feel the lump externally I can just feel it most the time and especially when I swallow, it feels like it is located around base of my neck. I did overuse my throat just before and 99% sure that is the cause so hoping it will go but just worried that could end up with something more serious and is there anything I can do to speed up it getting better!?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms can be related to laringitis which si an inflammation of the larynx.
I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation.
I also recommend to gargle with salty water and drink liquids.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
