Hi..
Can understand your concern..
As per your complain first of all I would like to inform you that antibiotics can treat bacterial infection and in case if you have thrush that is a
fungal infection, taking antibiotics will not help and you need to take
anti-fungal medication like Nystatin mouthwash,
Clotrimazole Lozenges and oral intake of antifungal medication like
Fluconazole for atleast 15 days..
For
throat infection you should get throat swab culture done and then only get take antibiotics if bacterial infection is ruled out because antibiotics can further disturb the balance of good bacteria in mouth and cause exaggeration of fungal infection..
For throat pain as of now take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen can be taken to relive pain.
-Doing warm saline gargles, steam inhalation and using a humidifier in your room can be very much relieving.
-You can also suck throat lozenges to soothe the throat..
-Gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
-Gargle with antiseptic solution like few drops of betadine in water..
-Chew Vitamin C pellets to boost up the immunity..
-Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
Hope this helps..
Thanks and regards..
