Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And White Patches On Tonsils
i am 19 years Old male, i've got a sorethroat some white patches on my tonsils having nausea clogged ears and nose with cough and sneezing, an sometimes my head and neck hurts but not so bad and i usually sweat at night and chills, sometimes i have low fever.
As per your query it seems that you have an Upper Respiratory tract infection caused by viral infection leading to the symptom that you have and white patches on tonsils seems to be due to secondary bacterial infection leading to follicular tonsillitis along with viral.. You should take a course of antibiotics like Levofloxacin or Azithromycin for 5 days.. Take tylenol for reducing fever.. Decongestant like Pseudoephadrine [sudafed] and mucolytics like Bromohexine can help in relieving congestion and easy drainage of mucus. Do steam inhalations and warm saline gargles. Chew a Vitamin C pellet daily..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
