Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Nasal Congestion

Hello, I would like to ask if Theraflu severe cold is the best medicine for my father to take. He is 72 and has MDS. He currently has a low grade temp., sore throat, fatigue and nasal congestion. I live out of town and just arrived. I am going to take him to the doctor tomorrow but we are then facing a 5 hour drive to an appt we have had at Johns Hopkins re his MDS. I am wondering if there is a better med I could get now so we can get him feeling better faster. Thank you for any advise you can give us. Sincerely, Christy

I have read your query as yoh father has sore throat and nasal congestion for this I will suggest you to consult Ent surgeon for clinical examination . Inmeantime do warm saline gargle and take steam using capsule Karvol . He can take medicine like Azithromycin by conaulting wilth local doctor.
