Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Mouth Pain

Really sore throat that comes and goes, mouth hurts as well. I do wear dentures,,, I had thought i was getting a cold but nope, the pain went away , and today is back again.. and I am so thirsty all the time. I am 48 years old. This pain has to stop. I have gargled with salt water, used throat lozenges, and it just hurts pretty bad.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to being related to an upper respiratory tract infection. I recommend using anti-inflammatory medication such as Acetaminophen three times a day.

I also recommend using throat spray. I suggest drinking a lot of liquids and rest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
