Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Coughs
I have a sore throat, I was having a ruining nose, coughs for about 10 or more days starting Jan 27. I used albuterol inhalation for about a week, than it didn t work anymore; so I started to use Fluticasone nasal spray & I called on-call UCSF Chest Clinic doctor, and I was told that I had a cold. I was advised to continue to use Flunas nasal spray, and I did for about three days. It helped, then I coughed up thick yellow blood tinged sputum for about three to four days afterward. I felt wel afterward. Unfortunately, I started felling throat tickles, and seems something in my throat the whole time started three days ago with some congested coughs. I don t know what to do now. I was Diagnosed not having an Asthma by UCSF on Sep. this year, and I was instructed to stopp all Asthma medications, which I have completely off the Asthma meds since Oct 12, 2016. I don t feel chest tightness but I felt my throat is somewhat restricted.

You might have allergic rhinitis, which can cause irritation of the nose, cough, and also irritation of the throat due to the secretions going in the back of the nose.
I would recommend you to use nasal fluticasone and also oral cetirizine at night (if it makes you drowsy during the day you should not use it) to help relieve the symptoms of allergy.
Another possible reason for the throat irritation and the cough can be acid reflux. You can try omeprazole 1-2 a day for 2-3 weeks and see if this will help with the symptoms.
If you bring up blood with a cough you will need a visit with the doctor to rule out important lung conditions like tuberculosis and lung tumors.
