I have high BP usually controlled but since I have had this virus of sore throat and a lot of coughing...(the tickling is very bothersome!)....My BP AND pulse rate have gone up...is this normal...I really felt my heart pounding when I went to bed last night. I do not have a fever.
Since you are already having the problem with heart and have now pounding heart, rush to the ER for having EKG and cardiac check up, get adjusted the doses for cardiac problems. You will also be clinically evaluated for sore throat and coughing, investigated for blood and X-ray chest. Supportive investigations of blood and throat swab. All this will lead to a proper diagnosis so that a specific management can be done. Take povidone iodine gargles. Take rest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
