Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat Along With Cough
I had painful throat with fever. My ENT prescribed me levopront syrup 2x a day at 10ml, celecoxib caps 2x a day, paracetamol, and gargle. After 3 days went to see doctor for follow up check up. This time my fever and throat pains have gone. My doctor prescribed an co-amoxiclav antibiotics taken 2x a day for 7 days. Been taking this antibiotics for 2 days now. My cough still presists and I am having body pain due to coughing. My throat is so itchy. My taking lots of lukewarm water or not cold water and rested for 5 days already. What else should I do to expedite the healing and reduce if not eradicate coughing. Itchy throat? Thank you and more power

It seems that infection spreads in to lower respiratory tract infection giving this cough problem.
Continue with antibiotic medicine prescribed by your doctor.
It will take some time to cure cough.
Continue with cough syrup to get temporary relief from cough.
