Suggest Treatment For Sore Knees

Hi, my name is Lisa and I fell down in my office lobby 3 weeks ago and my knee has been so sore and tender. I figured it was just sore from the fall but tonight it has really been bothering me and I have a pocket of fluid or something behind my knee and it feels and looks like the knee itself is really swollen tonight. Do you think I have really injured it and should get it checked out or do you think it will heal in time?

Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal.

Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query.

This is very much possible because of the trauma you have had. It may be a soft tissue injury which does heal with time.

However, it is safer still to have the knee evaluated. Maybe getting an x ray or better still an mri of the knee would be helpful
