Suggest Treatment For Sore And Swollen Breasts On Stopping Depo Shots
I m 21 and my breast are very sore, knots, swollen and warm. I stopped depo in Sept. I went to my gyn about 2-3 months ago for same thing. They were itchy with red streaks all over. She said it appeared like mastitis but not pregnant nor sexually active. I did go to a naturalist and had my hormones tested which some came back abnormal. My gyn gave me prescriptions for abx just in case this happened again but have nit filled them. She also ordered mammogram but they said I was too young and did an ultrasound came back normal.
Hi, Your symptoms suggest inflammation of the breast. Since you have had a normal ultrasound of the breast, you should check for contact causes which could be leading to the inflammation. These include clothes, soaps and cosmetics. If your hormone levels are abnormal, you should get them corrected with the guidance of a specialist. Also, try to provide firm breast support, avoid excessive sweating in the area and maintain a healthy weight. Vascular causes also should be excluded since you were on the depo shot prior to this. Hope this helps.
