Suggest Treatment For Smoldering Myeloma When Suffering From Bone Lesion In Femur Bone

I have just been diagnosed with smoldering myeloma. I have a single bone lesion in my right femur bone. My oncologists suggested I start taking velcade and bortezomib. I want to do radiation first for my bone femur. I asked him what stage of myeloma and he said he couldn't or it couldn't be staged. I am just so confused. I don't know what to do and I know I have to decide quick because my right leg is giving me a lot of pain. I don't know who to turn to or ask. Thank you

Hi
I think you should first get mri done to see the extent of spread.
Based on that radiotherapy or chemotherapy is to be given with anti cancer drugs.
Otherthing is if the tumor is not spread much then that part of the bone with some good bone is to be removed and then illizerav fixator rings have to be kept for lengthening of exesied bone.
Get well soon.
Thank you.
