Suggest Treatment For Small Sores Above The Clitoris

Two Small sores or cracked skin along center line just above clitoris. Skin seems moist and supple. No soreness or tenderness. Sore or cracks are approx. .5cm when held stretched and appear as round though this could be simply from holding open. They are sore to touch. Have been using a Neosporin for several days without effect.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for posting in HCM.

Well, the lesions you have described above the clitoris seem to be more of fungal than bacterial infection. This is so because it is not responding to Neosporin ointment which you are using for several days.

All you have to do is the following:
1. Wash the area with warm water twice daily using mild antiseptic like Savlon.
2. Dry the lesions immediately with clean cloth or towel.
3. Apply Clotrimazole-betamethasone topical ointment twice a day.
4. Take Tablet. Levocetrizine 10mg tablet once a day for 5 days.
5. Wear loose cotton undergarments to keep the area ventilated.

Your lesions should heal in about a week. All the best.
