Suggest Treatment For Small Red Dots On The Waist And Thighs

For the last couple years, I wake up most mornings with a rash on the inside of my wrists. It goes away after 30 minutes to a couple hours. However, the rash has spread to other areas like the top of my thighs, calves and sometimes on the sides of my waist or side/back of my upper thighs. Sometimes it takes the form of hives but usually it is just red dots under the skin (nothing raised). I have noticed that when I eat corn, strawberries and dairy products it gets worse. However, sometimes it will go away for days and then I can t seem to pinpoint what could be the cause. Do you think this is an allergic reaction? I have never had allergies before.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello. Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com. I have read your query. I understand your concern.
As per details, it seems that you are having a condition called urticaria. It is characterised by red colored itchy transient eruptions over body. It can be caused by allergy to recent infection, any food, seasonal change, drugs, pollen grains etc. I will advise you to get your blood sugar levels, thyroid profile, Absolute Eosinophil count, IgE levels done.
In such cases, I prefer to advise oral antihistaminics like levocetrizine for my patients.
Visit your doctor so that he can examine you and give you prescription.
You can share my opinion with him. I hope it helps. Take care.
