Suggest Treatment For Small Itchy Bumps On The Thighs

Hi Doctor, I have been on amoxicillin since Saturday. On Sunday I began having some mild itching on the thighs (particularly at night) accompanied by what look like small bug bites, and also noticed a small red spot on the heard of my penis (about the size of a belt hole). No itching or pain associated with spots. Any idea what this could be?

Hi Dear,

Welccome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have small itchy bumps on thigh which seems to be due to hair follicle infection leading to folliculitis and it could be due to furuncle or boil. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to apply topical antibacterial ointment and wear loose clothes. You should take course of oral antibiotics. Maintain complete hygiene and keep area little dry. Visit dermatologist once if symptoms keeps on persisting. Start treatment after complete examination and proper prescription.
