Suggest Treatment For Sleep Apnea

I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea recently, results of a sleep study. I quit breathing 6 times during regular sleep and 21 times during REM sleep. I have had terrible insomnia for years (genetic) and now I wonder if some of the nights I thought I hadn t slept at all, I really did sleep some. Is that possible? DP
