Suggest Treatment For Skin Redness And Swelling In Left Arm

My left arm will get hot to touch, bright red and sore. Feels somewhat like a sunburn. It comes and goes...seems to appear when my immune system is lower. I got a kenalog injection yesterday for allergies. I have experienced this for many years but today is the first time it appeared where a doctor could actually observe. I had my yearly with my OBGYN and she was concerned. She even took pictures so I could show my rheumatologist in a couple of weeks at my 6 month check up. She felt it was autoimmune in nature. I take placquneil at present. I did have some pain under that arm during my breast exam and she thought it was coming from my lymph nodes. I am have my yearly mamo on Monday, along with an ultrasound of that area. I did have a melanoma removed from that arm in 1998...margins were clean. I have had several red spots to pop up near that site and on my right arm in the last year. Any idea to what is causing this????

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the single upper limb only then it could be due to some allergic condition and it may two factor mediated one is emotional stress and second autoimmune response and this can be managed with "Tab Loratadine " three times in day some time it may be self limiting too, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
