Suggest Treatment For Skin Rashes On The Buttock And Armpit

I have a rash on my bottom, lower back and under arms for over a week. I don t ever remember having such before. What causes it? Is it dry skin reaction during the winter? What can be done to relieve the itchy feeling and correct the problem? Thank you! Gary

Dermatologist 's  Response
Dear Gary
It seems that you probably are allergic to some new dress that you have worn especially if you sweat a lot in the mentioned areas. The dry skin during winters is more likely to affect your lower legs, back, arms, and whole of the back and would respond to use of moisturize or oily preparation. You would be able to explain yourself better if you send the picture of areas involved or get yourself checked up.In the meantime, use only cotton dresses and the ones that are quite loose while refraining from the deodorants or harsh soaps.
For itching, I would suggest that anti allergic medication may be taken.
