Suggest Treatment For Skin Discolouration On Hand After TCA Burn
Hi Sir, I got a TCA (Tricholoroacetic acid) burn immediately I washed by hand and put in ice for several minutes. I had also taken primary medical aid. So that now there is no iching or no pain in the burned area. But there is a discoloration of the skin (skin turned black in that portion). Doctor suggest me to use the Silver Nitrate Gel (Silverex). I came to know through internet that silver nitrate itself can create scar mark in the skin. What could I do. Please help me with a valuable suggestion.

I really appreciate your concern, this is thermal injury and the best local medicine for this is silver nitrate, this does not cause any mark but depth of injury is one that could cause this, else this advisable to apply silver nitrate without any fear, hope this information helps, take care.
