Suggest Treatment For Sinus Inflammation

My nasal passages seem to swell (esp on right side) at night, when thermostat is at 70 degrees or more (heat), when around smoke or certain chemicals/fabrics. They clear when I am upright for awhile, take decongestants or am in a cooler environment. When passages swell it is as if someone has stuffed cotton in them and I have major problems breathing and even talking. I am 67 and have had sinus problems for many years. Currently sinuses feel inflammed. Am I treating this correctly or do I need to see a physician? Thank you Mickey

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Since you are a known case of sinusitis and have typical problems with raised atmospheric temperature I would advise you the following:
It would be better to get reference for an ENT Surgeon as proper clinical evaluation and endoscopy is necessary along with CT scan to get the correct diagnosis.
Avoiding temperature variation, continuing medicines only when required.
CT scan will guide whether you need surgery or not.
