Suggest Treatment For Sinus Infection And Dizziness

Hi there, I am a 27 year healthy female, however in the past 6 months I have been stricken with one minor health issue after another. In December I had a cold and with that cold my right ear had pressure building within. I thought it would go away on its own once my cold went away. I am prone to getting sinus infections and this often happens to my ears. Unfortunately this time it hasn t got better. I have been to my family doctor and even an ENT and they both had said my ear seems to be fine. I was told to see a jaw specialist, who told me that my muscles around my jaw are inflamed, I was told to massage and place heat around my head and ear area. After doing all this my pressure still hasn t released, I feel like I ve been on a long plane ride waiting to land so my ear pressure can elevate. The last couple of months I have been getting dizzy and just been off balance, without any reason some times I will sway and almost lose my balance. When I am lying down I try to pinch my nose and blow air so my ears will pop but that only causes my dizzies to come on. What is my next step???

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The dizziness is commonly related to benign paroxismal vertigo which is an issue if the inner ear.
I suggest using Meclizine hydrochloride three times a day.
I also suggest to avoid salt in the diet.
If the symptoms continue,I suggest to consult an ENT specialist.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
