General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, Welcome to Ask a doctor services. I have read your query.

Keppra is an anticonvulsant. It is used to decrease the number of seizures.

If you do not have seizures, you should get connected to a GP & discuss on the weaning of the medication.

Your GP will treat you of your side effects & also the symptoms that arise during weaning of the medication. It should be tapered gradually.

Sudden stoppage of the medication will cause withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal symptoms will need to be treated, get connected to a detox center or a de addictive center or stay connected with the treating doctor.

Stay well nourished & hydrated.

Hope I have answered your query. Take care.
Regards.
