Suggest Treatment For Sickness In The Child Causing Difficulty In Breathing

my 15 month old went to bed at 7. she has been asleep but wriggling around alot. she is very hot and has very red face, and her breathing is heavy and a bit weezy. she has just been sick now and gone straite back to sleep. since being sick she is sleeping comfortably but is still really hot and breathing has slowed down a bit too. only thing she has eaten differently today is a half a sausage which was a bit greasy from the shop.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

This is probably a viral illness. If there is no other associated symptoms and otherwise active and taking feeds, we need not worry- just give her Acetaminophen 3-4 times daily for 2-3 days. If no improvement by then or if she develops additional symptoms, we can evaluate further.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
