hi,
thank you for putting up your query on HCM.
as per your history, you have 2nd episode of shingles which has to be treated same as before.
-- virus stays in nerves, and upon reactivation, it may cause recurrent acute episodes.
-- it has to be treated same as before with oral acyclovir 800 mg after consulting a dermatologist.
-- you may take pain killers like ibuprofen thrice a day.
-- you may apply topical antibiotics like gentamycin cream over the lesions and soothing lotion like calamine to relieve pain.
-- after, the episode subsides, you can consult a dermatologist for post inflammatory hyperpigmentation or scars to be treated accordingly.
wishing you good health.
thank you.
