Suggest Treatment For Sharp Stabbing Pain In Lower Leg

I have a sharp, stabbing pain in my right lower leg right above the ankle. It comes and goes in a matter of 10 seconds. Sometimes a day can go by with no pain and other days it may occurr a few times a day. It makes no difference whether I m standing, sitting or reclining. I m a healthy person who is not on any medication, other than Boniva..

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Hello,

As this pain looks like to be due to nerve entrapment in the course of it. Doing core stability exercise and spinal muscle strengthening exercises should help. This occurs due to the muscle weakness and abnormal posture. Once corrected things should be fine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
