Suggest Treatment For Sharp Foot Pain

After running a half marathon later that night I started experiencing sharp pains on the outer sole and top of my right foot. After a few days when pain did not decease with anti-inflammatory and ice, I went to a Doc. Xray did not show a fracture. Been staying off it as much as possible for last 4 days and pain is subsiding but have started to experience some creaking feeling in the same spot. Should I be icing? heating? stretching? Go back to doc?

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you has soft tissue injury your right foot . You had gone to doctor and he x rayed your foot but it showed no fracture. After 4 days pain was subsiding but you heard a sound from the same place. I think you got soft tissue injury. Even if you got fracture it is likely to be undisplaced one.Treatment of it is rest, crepe bandage application and analgesic such as diclofenac to pain relief . Vitamin B and C are helpful in recovery. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful.
