Suggest Treatment For Severe Whole Body Itching

My 3 1/2 yr old granddaughter lives w me. Over the summer months seemed to be itching frequently on hands legs face. All over to point of being uncomfortable. Then her hand and fingers started peeling. That has stopped and now the whole plantar area of feet are peeling. Has had no fevers nor illness. No peeling of hands now.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I would like to suggest some diagnosis:
1. Skin Biopsy
2. Complete Blood Tests

I would like to tell you that I have suggested a skin biopsy to get a full and final and confirmed diagnosis. As I can't see the lesion or the skin here, this test would give us the confirmed diagnosis and we can go towards perfect treatments as soon as possible.

In the meantime, if she has itching, you can give her Diphenhydramine Topical in this way: Apply to affected area not more than 3 to 4 times daily.

Please post another question with the answers to the report. A doctor will follow you up. We are always ready to serve.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dipan Samanta, General & Family Physician
