Suggest Treatment For Severe Throat Infection While On Dolo 650

Hi, had throat infection with fever recently and was prescribed dolo 650 and coeamox 625mg. Which reacted. Dose was changed to Allegra and zathrin and no improvement seen as blisters have formed on palms and foot. Can avil be taken for overcoming the medical reaction ?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe throat infection while on Dolo 650 which is due to bacterial infection leading to strep throat. Dolo650 will only give relieve from symptoms , it will not treat the infection. I would suggest you to maintain proper oral hygiene. You should take Diphenhydramine and Dextromethorphan for 4-5 days. Consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis like throat swab test and viral culture test . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics amoxiclav at least for 10 days along with decongestant. Do warm saline gargles 3 to 4 times a day. You can continue dolo650 with the advice of doctor. Take soft foods to avoid irritation to the throat. Throat lozanges one every 4 hours is helpful. Drink luke warm water throughout the day as it can provide relief.
