Suggest Treatment For Severe Stabbing Pain In The Vagina And Anus

I had my mirena iud placed in April of last year I ve been bleeding since maybe stop for a week then start back up... I get very sharp knife like stabbing pains what feels to be in my vagina and in my anus too... I ve had an ultrasound done of my iud to make sure it didn t shift or move.. They always tell me it s in place and fine.. What s are these pains and why? Also I never got these pains until I got my iud

Hai,
your complaint is getting irregular periods after insertion of Mirena.This is a common side effect of Mirena , because of the hormone content in it . It is usually controlled in few months and some patient may go for amennorhoea, that is not getting periods.
The pain which you felt might be due to the contraction of uterus that is also a common side effect . This will go off in few months.
IF anything is severe consult your doctor.
