Suggest Treatment For Severe Shoulder Pain

Hello, a few months back I was unscrewing a drain in the shower and I was in an odd position. I torqued the wrench and it felt like my shoulder popped out of socket a bit and I had severe pain. The pain subsided quickly and I thought all was good but there has been mild pain and numbness/tingling ever since. I went to my doctor and he did xrays but said he didn t see anything and basically blew it off. Since then the tingling and numbness is getting a bit worse. I am wondering if I should go back and insist on a referral to a neuroligist. My doctor has a tendency to not worry about anything with me. Guess he thinks I m durable.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear patient
It seems you have injured muscles in your shoulder mostly sprain. Constant pain for one month and not relieved with medication suggests muscle sprain or tear. Xray only shows bones And muscle and ligaments cannot be seen. So I would advise mri of involved shoulder as in gives detail information about muscle , ligaments and even nodes. So visit radiology center nearby you and get it done. Visit expert arthroscopic surgeon with report. All the best.
