Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have right hip pain that was noticed 3 weeks ago as a pulling sensation when crossing my leg over my opposite knee and with moving the leg. I did stretches every day which helped but it is getting worse every day now in the last week with the joint feeling weak and the pain persistent as dull ache. It hurts to sit down, go up steps, get in and out of car. There does not seem to be any warmth to touch or redness or swelling, just pain and feeling weak at right hip and the pain sometimes radiates to the femur bone and knee.
The only way to understand what is going on in your hip is to do an MRI, so it can see all the tissues and understand the problem.
Otherwise, I can recommend only medicines that lower the inflammation inside and that will reside the pain gradually. Try Ibuprofen. So the inflammation will stay constantly low and that will help heal it faster. Using a local analgesic cream will be helpful too.
Avoid overusing the joint, like running or long walks. When you feel pain, then stop and rest.
If worse or not better, I would recommend seeing a local doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Klarida Papaqako, General & Family Physician
