I am a fit, active and healthy 24 year old female. At the moment, I am suffering from acute pain which leads from just below my rib cage, in a straight line down to the top of my naval. The pain is so sever I cannot walk or stand or sir upright. However, if I lay u down flat and relax, the pain almost completely disappears. I have learnt that if I lay down for a day or so, I am the back to full health. Climbing stairs and twisting increase the pain so I am sure it is a muscle problem. I have no other symptoms.
Initially, I would have this problem very infrequently but lately it is becoming more regular and prevents me from even leaving the house. I do not partake in any strenuous activity and there is no pattern that I can find. Surely, this is not a normal problem? Currently I am travelling and unable to seek medical advice.
