Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain On The Side Of Mouth

Hi i had my tonsils out a week ago now and for the past 3 days things have been difficult, ive been in server pain with one side of my mouth/tounge down the back end of my throat my tounge feels like it cramping i dont know what to do as its keeping me awake all night ive not slept for 3 days as when the pain starts im in tears, what can i do to stop this or prevent it happening

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain there is a probablity that you have infection in the side of throat where you have severe pain that seems to be due to post surgical complication..
Pain seems to be most probably due to infection..
Secondly it can also be nerve related pain if there was any accidental nerve injury during the Tonsillectomy procedure..
Consult your treating surgeon and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation has to be done..
In case if there is infection antibiotics and painkillers will be given..
As of now take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen and also gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
