Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Upper Back That Radiates To The Ribcage

I am having excruciating pain in my right upper back near my kidney that radiates around to just below my ribcage. I suspect gas because I can feel something kind of gurgling and moving around in there. It brings me to my knees almost. It feels like a Charley horse, the same grabbing sensation that is unbelievably painful. Can gas truly hurt that badly?

I can understand your concern.
No, gas and acidity related pain is not this much severe. Pain due to gas is milder one.
By your history and description, possibility of renal colicky pain due to Renal stone is more.
So better to consult doctor and get done ultrasound examination of kidney, ureter and bladder (KUB).
Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated.
Don't wait at home. Consult doctor and diagnose first then start appropriate treatment.
