Hi - Female aged 58. Was walking on a treadmill last Monday 3.0mph at 0.5% incline. Mis-stepped with my left foot and was thrown off backwards landing flat out on a concrete floor. Obviously I was stunned. Took a few minutes to gather myself. During my unintended flight through the air, the only impact I had before the floor was with my right shin on the end of the treadmill. The pain was intense and I could not tolerate any touch. My shin had a deep bruise running the full length of my shin from knee to ankle. The track from the treadmill left a deep impression in my skin and a big dent directly above my shin bone. My lower leg hurt like hell. I slowly stood back up and got back on the treadmill to finish out my time. A week later, I still cannot stand to have anything touch my shin (pant s leg, socks, sheets, etc). My entire leg in the bruised area has a lovely green yellow tinge. Pretty typical and expected after such a hard hit. I can not understand why I m continuing to have a burning sensation and sporadic zingers that feel like electric shocks. Any advise?
