Prior history colon resection, I have chronic interstitial cystitis of bladder. Went to er thinking I had diverticulitis again. Cat scan showed only small amount of fluid in abdomen and trace of blood in urine. What could this be?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persists better to consult a general surgeon and plan for an ultrasound to rule out possible causes like hernia.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
