Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Index Finger

I am a calligrapher and have developed a callus with excruciating pain on rt. indx tip. I tried treating it as a corn, with no relief. Asked every MD i have (even opthalmologist ventured a suggestion!!) to n avail. I d even be willing to do something to the nerves. This is my livelihood and I can t rest it for any length of time---the pain is a serious problem.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The pain is due to direct pressure and nerve stimulation.
I suggest that you start using a tape around your callosity when working and start a combination of Pregabalin and Nortriptyline.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Gopal Goel,
Orthopaedic Surgeon
