Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Eyes With Tooth Ache

Dr., I was having consistent pain below my left eye near the left nose accompanied with left upper tooth ache. I had seen a doctor who said that I have tooth infection as well as symptoms of sinus. I was advices to take cepoderm 250mg (1-0-1) ,Paracetamol650 1-1-1 and levocetrizine 1-0-1 all for 2days. The pain and swelling in the left side of the face decreased but now it has happened on the right side of the face. Again yesterday I had been to see the same doctor. He has increased the dosage of the given medicine. I have taken two doses but I don't have relief. The swelling is still there but there is relief in the pain after the medication is done, but returns back after 2-3 hours. I am a female of 36years, 72 kgs. I am allergic to perinorm. Please advice.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have infected tooth that is leading to infection in the sinuses and as the sinuses are present around the nostrils you are experiencing pain in that area..

First of all get your infected tooth treated as it might be acting as a continuous source of infection..

Secondly consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated for your sinuses and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like PNS V ies x ray of sinuses can help in diagnosis and will be treated accordingly..

You can be advised to continue taking antibiotics and along with it anti inflammatory painkillers, saline nasal irrigation, decongestant nasal spray like Xylometazoline and steam inhalation..
Do warm compresses around nostrils..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
