Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Elbow, Shoulder And Forearm

I started having pain in my right elbow about three months ago. The doctor thought it was tennis elbow and I have been wearing a brace just below the elbow. About three weeks ago, I started getting muscle pain in my arm from the elbow to the wrist on the top, inside of my arm. My shoulder also began hurting and I have constant pain in both the elbow and shoulder (right side). The shoulder hurts in the muscles all around, front, side and back. It is a sharp pain, about a 5 on a scale of 10. It really hurts both my arm and shoulder to pick up a glass, turn my arm facing palm up, or crossing my arm in front of me. But it is always hurting, not just when I m using them. Sometimes I can t find a comfortable place to put my arm when I m sitting in a chair or laying down. I have had a couple of knots in my arm just below my shoulder that hurt a lot but I was able to rub them away and just the pain of the charley horse was left. I also have been sick since the weekend before Thanksgiving with cough, sore throat, or a sinus infection and have been on 4 different antibiotics and two rounds of steroids. Just when I start feeling better for a couple of days, I get a sore throat, sinus infection, or my cough comes back. This may be a completely different issue than the pain in my arm and shoulder but wondered if it could be related to medicine I ve taken. I ve also been very tired but thought it was due to being sick for 3 months. I assumed the medicines haven t worked because my illnesses were/are probably viral. I don t know whether to go back to the doctor or just wait this out. I also don t think my pain in my arm and shoulder will be taken very seriously and will just be told to ice/heat it and take Ibuprofen. I have been doing these things and it hasn t helped yet. Any advice would be appreciated.
