Have had severe pain in leg for 4 months, went to hospital where scan was performed no blood clot, next was suggested I see a Orthopedic and sport dr...x ray s done no breaks doc suggested pt as pain could be coming from lower back, pt completed after 5 weeks and no relief pt suggested i go back to orthapedic which i did and a MRI was done showed a small amount of inflamation , tendons and brustist so back to pt with a steriod which was applied with ultra sound after 3 weeks no relief and i actually became worse went to walk and turn and felt something snap went to hospital which in turn just sent me back to ortho doctor where he suggested a spine doctor specialist went to appt. Where xrays were done and doctor said back looked normal for that of someone 58 years young, she suggested a nerve conduction test, this has been going on since April it started when I was taken water aroebics in shallow end of pool started with1 class 3 times a week but found myself doing 2-3 classes a day 3 times a week and this is when I started having the pain in leg

Dear sir, it is not surprising that all your investigations are yielding normal results, as there is possibility of the fact that the pain you are experiencing is due to muscle spasm and other side effects of rigorous aerobic excercise that you started doing just before the symptoms started. it could also be due to underlying conditions that could be aggravated by over exertion especially among your age group such as arthritis, bursitis, tendinitis and oesteoporosis.
First, thanks for providing the information about your aerobic excercise and I would like to know if this information was provided to all your doctors, if not, then I will recommend that you let them aware of your activities during your next appointment.
Base on this, I will recommend that first, you reduce the exercise rate significantly and spread it evenly over the week. then try topical analgesic cream and if you are not a peptic ulcer patient NSAID such as ibuprofen 400mg b.d after meal and muscle relaxants like norflex one tab b.d for one week.
Then let's hear how it goes.
I hope this can help and looking forward to hear from you.
