Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain And Bruise In The Cervix

Good Afternoon, I had sexual intercourse with my boyfriend earlier today. I now have severe pain and I have a bruised cervix. The pain is so bad that I cannot get out of bed as putting any pressure on my abdomen hurts more including sitting up. What can I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Based on your description, it appears that you could be having inflammation of the cervix called 'cervicitis'.
It needs to be treated by means of an appropriate course of oral antibiotics along with anti-inflammatory - analgesic medications.
However, the condition needs to be assessed and confirmed by clinical examination.
Kindly consult Gynecologist for complete evaluation and appropriate management.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
