Suggest Treatment For Severe Nasal Congestion

my son has such severe nasal congestion, he can barely sleep. its been like this for months. ive used the saline and bulb aspirator, the humidifier, steam shower/bath, and still, no relief. its breaking my heart. I just cant seem to find any help further

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe nasal congestion . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like sinusitis , allergic rhinitis , deviated nasal septum , common cold , influenza or nasal polyp . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test , nasal endoscopy or CT scan . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like penicillin or amoxicillin for sinusitis along with immunosuppressnats for allergic reaction or antiviral like acyclovir for viral infection along with decongestant and expectorant . For now apply warm compresses on nose and take stean twice a day . Doctor may also recommend surgery got nasal polyp .
