Suggest Treatment For Severe Kidney Infection Causing Lower Back Pain

I went to an emergency room last night and was diagnosed with a kidney infection, and possibly had passed a kidney stone. The pain was located in my left lower back, around to the front of my abdomen and down the thigh of my left leg. I started antibiotics and the area around my kidneys isn t hurting as badly, however the front of my thighs is still excrutuiatingly painful. When I walk, stand and particularly sit. It Is like a knife poking in me. Could this pain still be from a kidney infection. Thank you

Hi welcome to health care magic...

The sharp constricting pain could be from kidney stone as per your mentioned complaint in history....

Secondary to it kidney infection can be there

So USG and urine examination should be done first that report is not mentioned here...

For kidney infection suitable antibiotic needed

For Stone if needed diuretic given

And if stone not passing in urine ECSWL might needed

So first consult physician or nephrologist for examination and than accordingly work up is done...

Take care
