Suggest Treatment For Severe Jock Itch
I am a woman who is experiencing something very similar to jock itch. It is a very itchy red flaky non stop painful experience. I have treated it with every antifungal available OTC and my OBgyn even treated me for a yeast infection (which i had no other signs of) and with nystatin. It will not go away. I have been suffering with this for a year now. What could it be? My OB gyn looked baffled.

As per your query you have severe jock itch from very long time . Jock itch is a fungal infection that affects the skin of your genitals, inner thighs and buttocks . Jock itch is caused by a type of fungus that can be spread from person to person or from shared use of contaminated towels or clothing . Sometimes week immune system causes frequent jock itch like infection. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist again for proper examination . Doctor will examine physically and take sample for lab testing to rule out other conditions . Doctor may prescribe stronger anti fungal like terbinafine along with antibacterial for secondary infection . For now wash your skinh thrice a day , keep it dry , wear 100% cotton underwear and apply a mix of over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream and clotrimazole cream one to two times a day .
