Suggest Treatment For Severe Itchy Red Bumps On The Stomach And Thighs
Hi! I ended a cycle of Amoxiclav 2-3 weeks ago. I have a rash on my skin that reaches around my thighs, glutes, stomach and arms now. The little red bumps turn a silvery white instantly when scratched and the top layer peels off to expose pink skin beneath. I ve had the rash for about 2 weeks now and calamine lotion hasn t really helped so I know it s not poison ivy - but it sort of looks like it. Except there are some random bumps here and there that don t belong to a cluster. They itch only slightly and don t really hurt at all.
I have reviewed your posting and will share my experience based upon dealing with this problem in good number of cases.
You seem to have had onset of Psoriasis. I would advise you to not touch the area as friction tends to increase the lesions. Antibiotics are of little use as this is not infection. All that you need is to apply emollients for now and seek dermatology consultation because if not treated well or in time, you might have to face a bigger issue. Please do not use any other medication except for anti allergics to control itching if that bothers at ll.
Psoriasis presents in many patients like that and usually comes and goes without apparent reasons in many cases.
Please seek safe treatment for now and have a good health
