Suggest Treatment For Severe Itching Near The Rectum
Hello. So about a week ago on Friday after having intercourse with my boyfriend with a condom on, I started to experience some itching at the base of rectum. This happened immediately after intercourse and I thought it was strange but I waited it out to see if the irritation would go away. Then during the weekend my anus became even more irritated and and itchy and itching sorta spread to left side of my vagina on the labia I believe. It is now Thursday almost a week after all this and my anus is no longer itchy but the left side of my vagina has been irritated and I m worried it might be serious. One doctor said it looks like I have a yeast infection but I have had a yeast infection before and this didn t happen last time. Also since there are no sores on the infected areas no clinic will test me for herpes. I m very nervous and scared and unsure of what to do now.
It could be eczema. As first-line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.
