Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 70 year old obese woman. I was on top of steps (about 2 1/2 ft high) holding on to the door when a gust of wind hit door and caused me to fall over the edge of the steps. Landing on some large flower pots with my right hip and my rt should near the neck hit the concrete of the driveway. I protected my head while I prayed to God to not allow a broken neck. I got up like a cow. Came into house and have extreme pain with burning in hip (on the side) and on the internal side of the rt shoulder near the nape of neck in cerival area. The lumbar area burns also and very painful to move. Could I possibly have broken something? I do not have any money!!!
Hi, Thanks for your question. I do understand your pain and discomfort. I have seen many cases with similar complaints. Please find my advice below-: 1)Do a physical Exam by your local doctor first. 2)If found any Deficit do CT scan to ruled out any change.because your history suggest mild Spinal cord injury and it will be repaired conservative way first.
I hope I was able to address your query. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to me. Wishing you all the best. Thanks,
