Suggest Treatment For Severe Eye Pain

My left eye pains all around the eye and waters when this happen but before it was jumping uncontrollable for over a month off and an on.I get regular eye checkup yearly but when I have a problem I do see the eye doctor.He explain to me about the jump which is a nerve and it normally goes away on its on so I didn t see any need for medical attention but the sharp pains around my one eye is making me think I need to have this checked out since I m about to turn sixty in age.Tell me should I worry and go to my doctor or wait it out?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe eye pain . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like angiomas , acne , allergic , eczema , psoriasis and scabies . It can also occur due to poor immunity of body and due to side effect of some medicines . I would suggest you to maintain proper hygiene , take antihistamine like benadryl , prevent your skin and eye from direct sun light , wear eyeglasses and avoid applying any cosmetic . Apply only petroleum jelly. Consult ophthalmologist for proper examination . Doctor may order skin test or allergy test along with blood test . Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants along with antibiotics and anti inflammatory and corticosteroid ointment . Doctor may also refer you to allergy specialist for allergic reaction .
